A pedestrian lane behind Saint-Séverin

Hotel Parc Saint-Séverin is at 22 rue de la Parcheminerie, in the 5th arrondissement, in the lane behind the church of Saint-Séverin. The stations are close: Saint-Michel Notre-Dame (RER B and C) is a minute away, though its line 4 stop is closed until 19 December 2026; Cluny–La Sorbonne (line 10) is two minutes, Odéon five. The street is pedestrian and, according to the hotel, takes its name from the parchment sellers who settled there in the 14th century.

Atout France classified it four stars on 17 May 2022, for 27 rooms. The hotel is part of the Esprit de France collection. It asks not to be confused with the former Hôtel Europe Saint-Séverin, which is a different house. The rooms are its distinguishing feature: the hotel lists original works by 20th-century artists, among them Jacques Camus, Roger Chapelain-Midy, Jean Hélion and Jean Bazaine.

Rooms and services

Air conditioning is listed in every category. Two categories carry terraces of their own: Deluxe Terrace on the sixth floor, and Executive Panoramique on the seventh, with terraces of 40 m² that the hotel says look to the Panthéon, Notre-Dame and the Eiffel Tower. Classic rooms face the church. The Family Connecting room, 30 m², links two rooms for three people, with two bathrooms. Pets under 5 kg are accepted with a supplement. There is no restaurant and no bar: breakfast is a buffet from 7 to 11, there is a daily afternoon snack, and room service brings dishes from Rocaille. Hôtel Parc Saint-Séverin states that it is not accessible to guests with reduced mobility, and it has no car park of its own; it points to a public one at 9 boulevard Saint-Michel.

Against the neighbours

Les Rives de Notre Dame, also four stars, has ten rooms on the quay, about 200 m on foot. The Royal Saint-Michel, a four-star of 39 rooms, stands on the boulevard, about 150 m away. On rue Saint-Séverin itself, the Europe Saint-Séverin is a three-star of 59 rooms. With 27 rooms, the Parc Saint-Séverin sits between the ten of Les Rives and the 39 of the Royal Saint-Michel. The church is described in our Saint-Séverin guide; the block is laid out in hotels near Saint-Michel.
