On the quay, facing the cathedral
Les Rives de Notre Dame is at 15 quai Saint-Michel, in the 5th arrondissement, about 150 m from place Saint-Michel. The quay faces the Île de la Cité, with the Préfecture de police opposite and Notre-Dame seen at an angle. For transport, Saint-Michel Notre-Dame is a minute away, with the RER B and RER C; line 4 is closed there until 19 December 2026, and Cité (line 4) and Cluny–La Sorbonne (line 10) are four minutes away.
Atout France classified it four stars on 2 December 2022, for ten rooms. It is independent, with no chain or group displayed. The address has a film history that Wikipedia documents: it was the Hôtel de Suède, and Jean-Luc Godard filmed there for Breathless in 1960. The hotel reopened in spring 2022 after a complete renovation, and describes a Paris-flat look with toile de Jouy, beams and bare stone. It dates the house to the 17th century, a claim we leave with the hotel.
Rooms and services
Ten rooms in three categories, all air-conditioned, and, according to the hotel, all with a view of Notre-Dame and the Seine. Family use is narrow: a Superior room can take an extra bed, and the mansard Junior Suite has a sofa bed for two children under 12 or one adult. Breakfast is a buffet or in the room, served in a room with exposed stone. There is no restaurant and no bar, and the gym and massages are arranged outside, through the concierge. The hotel states plainly that it is not accessible to guests with reduced mobility. A parking space can be reserved in a public car park nearby; pets are not mentioned.
Against the neighbours
At number 1 on the same quay, the Notre-Dame Saint-Michel is a three-star of 26 rooms. Behind the church of Saint-Séverin, the Parc Saint-Séverin is also a four-star, with 27 rooms and an Executive Panoramique room with terraces. On the boulevard, the Royal Saint-Michel offers 39 rooms and rooms for four or five. Les Rives de Notre Dame is the smallest of the four, and its hotel says every room faces the river. For the cathedral and its square, see our guide to Notre-Dame; the full block is in hotels near Saint-Michel.

Neither. Breakfast is a buffet, or in the room, in a room with exposed stone. Massages and a gym can be booked outside through the concierge.
What is our verdict on Les Rives de Notre Dame?
We reproduce no guest comments. Weigh the river address, the RER station at the door and the very small size against the absence of services beyond breakfast and the statement that the hotel is not accessible.
