Latin Quarter Hotels
The Médicis fountain in the Luxembourg garden, a short walk from rue Racine; it shows the district, not the Hôtel Belloy

Rue Racine, at the edge of two districts

The Belloy is at 2 rue Racine, in the 6th arrondissement, on the corner of rue Monsieur-le-Prince and a couple of steps from boulevard Saint-Michel. The name says Saint-Germain; the address is on the border between the Latin Quarter and Saint-Germain, a few minutes from the Sorbonne metro stop and from Odéon. Atout France, the state body that issues French hotel stars, classified it four stars on 1 March 2022, for 50 rooms.

Its Hotel Fact sheet says the hotel is managed by Madeho, a name that does not appear on the main site. The company that edits the site is the Société Hôtel Belloy, at the same address.

Rooms and services

The décor is sober, with what the hotel calls discreet references to the literary world. Rooms are air-conditioned. For four people, the hotel offers a communicating family room: two rooms and two bathrooms. Small pets are allowed.

A bar adjoins the lobby and serves hot drinks, wine and aperitifs all day. There is no restaurant, but room service exists. Breakfast is a buffet from 7 to 10.30 a.m. and an express version is served from 5 a.m., which matters for early trains and flights. The hotel says it has no wheelchair-accessible room, for architectural reasons. It has no car park; it names the public ones at Soufflot-Panthéon and Saint-Michel.

Getting around

Cluny-La Sorbonne (line 10) and Odéon (lines 4 and 10) are each three minutes away, and Saint-Michel Notre-Dame is four: the RER B and C stop there, but the line 4 stop is closed until 19 December 2026 for works (Paris.fr, checked October 2026). That is a shorter walk to a station than from the Trianon (six minutes) or the Saint-Paul (four). Our page on hotels around Odéon lists the rest.

Compared with the others

At 50 rooms it sits between the Hôtel Saint-Paul Rive Gauche (31 rooms, patio, pets refused) and the Hôtel Trianon Rive Gauche (110 rooms, no bar). The Belloy is the only one of the three with a bar; the Trianon admits small dogs for a fee.
