A two-star on the edge of the 6th

Hôtel Saint-Pierre is at no. 4 rue de l’École-de-Médecine, in the 6th arrondissement, about 100 metres from the Musée de Cluny on the far side of boulevard Saint-Michel. The Sorbonne is four minutes away on foot, Odéon station three. Atout France, the body that runs France’s official hotel classification, made it a two-star on 25 June 2025, with 43 rooms.

Rooms and what is missing

The 43 rooms are all air-conditioned and come in six categories, from single to quadruple, with triples in between. Street-side rooms face the École de médecine, which the hotel calls an 18th-century monument. From the two top floors, the hotel says, guests can see the Eiffel Tower, Notre-Dame, the Montparnasse tower and La Défense — but those views come with the floor rather than with a room type.

There is a lift and the staff are on duty around the clock. Breakfast is a buffet, and can be brought to the room for a supplement. The hotel states plainly that it has no room for guests with reduced mobility. It has no bar or restaurant and says nothing about pets; the Odéon public car park is mentioned for information only.

Between Cluny and the Odéon

The Musée de Cluny is two minutes away on foot, the Sorbonne four, place Saint-Michel five, the Collège de France and the Palais du Luxembourg six. Line 4 at Saint-Michel Notre-Dame is closed until 19 December 2026; Odéon, three minutes away, serves lines 4 and 10.

Two other two-stars lie within three minutes. The Hôtel Villa des Princes on rue Monsieur-le-Prince, three minutes away, is also air-conditioned but has only 11 rooms, all for one or two people. The Grand Hôtel des Balcons on rue Casimir-Delavigne is larger (49 rooms) and offers a quadruple adapted for reduced mobility. A minute away on rue Racine, the three-star Hôtel du Savoir (20 rooms) and the four-star Hôtel Belloy Saint-Germain (50 rooms) show what the next categories offer; two minutes away, the three-star Hôtel de Suez has communicating rooms for four, and the three-star Hôtel du Lys, on rue Serpente, is three minutes away with 23 rooms.

Frequently asked questions

What do you get for two stars at the Hôtel Saint-Pierre?

We neither rate hotels nor quote guest reviews, but the facts are clear. You get air conditioning, rooms for up to four, a lift, round-the-clock staff and three stations within four minutes (line 4 is closed at Saint-Michel Notre-Dame until 19 December 2026). You do not get an adapted room, a bar or a guaranteed view.

On its edge. The address is in the 6th arrondissement, about 100 metres from the Musée de Cluny across boulevard Saint-Michel.

How do I get a room with a view of the Eiffel Tower?

The hotel says the view is from the top two floors; it is not a category you can book, so ask the hotel directly.

Can a family of four stay at Hôtel Saint-Pierre?

Yes, the hotel has quadruple rooms as well as triples.

Is there parking?

No. The hotel mentions the public car park at Odéon for information only.
