A hotel built on one idea

Les Bulles de Paris is at 32 rue des Écoles, in the 5th arrondissement, facing the Collège de France. It stands at the foot of the Montagne Sainte-Geneviève, with Place Maubert about 200 metres away on foot. Atout France, the state body that issues French hotel stars, classified it four stars on 20 February 2023, for 44 rooms. Maubert-Mutualité on line 10 is two minutes’ walk, Cluny–La Sorbonne five, and Saint-Michel Notre-Dame seven, where line 4 is closed until 19 December 2026 and the RER B and C remain.

The idea is champagne. Thirty-seven rooms carry themes (champagne and women, art, Paris, celebration, love, and one named after Amélie Nothomb), and seven suites are given to individual champagne houses. The decor is by Sandrine Alouf, as the hotel states. The house is independent.

The bar, the hammam and the practical side

The champagne bar occupies a vaulted room, open until 11 pm, with a happy hour, sommeliers and a tasting lounge, and serves a house cuvée. The wellness area is a hammam and sauna that guests book privately, by the hour, round the clock; massages and treatments are on offer. This is a private bathing room for one party, not a shared spa, which is why we do not list a pool or spa floor.

Rooms are air-conditioned individually. Two are adapted for reduced mobility, with an adjusted bathroom. Deluxe rooms take three people, and two-room suites sleep up to three. A meeting room seats 20. There is no restaurant; room service covers noon to 10 pm. The hotel says nothing on pets or parking.

Among its neighbours

Several four-stars sit within a few minutes. The Hôtel Les Dames du Panthéon has the same star rating and 35 rooms, on place du Panthéon, about 450 metres away. The Hôtel Villa Panthéon, at 41 rue des Écoles, also has four stars and 59 rooms, more than the Bulles. At number 33, on the other side of the street, the Hôtel Wyld Saint-Germain is a three-star of 45 rooms. Our guide to the hotels near Notre-Dame sets the sector out.

Frequently asked questions

Where is Les Bulles de Paris?

At 32 rue des Écoles, 5th arrondissement, facing the Collège de France at the foot of the Montagne Sainte-Geneviève. Maubert-Mutualité (line 10) is two minutes away, Cluny–La Sorbonne five, Saint-Michel Notre-Dame seven, where line 4 is closed until 19 December 2026.

Does Les Bulles de Paris have a spa?

It has a private hammam and sauna, bookable by the hour, plus massages and treatments. According to the hotel, 30 minutes are included when you book direct; otherwise the hour is charged. It is not a shared spa with a pool.

Is there a restaurant at Les Bulles de Paris?

No. Room service runs from noon to 10 pm, and the champagne bar, open until 11 pm, serves tastings and sommelier sessions.

Is Les Bulles de Paris suitable for families?

Partly. The Deluxe rooms take three people and there are two-room suites for up to three, but the theme is built around champagne. There are also two rooms adapted for reduced mobility.

What is our verdict on Les Bulles de Paris?

On checked facts: the theme, the private hammam and the bar weigh for it; the lack of a restaurant and of any word on pets or parking weigh against it.
