On the square, facing the theatre

Hotel Michelet Odéon is at 6 place de l’Odéon, in the 6th arrondissement, on the western fringe of the Latin Quarter, facing the Odéon theatre. The square was laid out in 1779 on the site of the Hôtel de Condé, according to Wikipedia. The building’s roofs and façades, on the square and on rue Regnard, have been listed as a historic monument since an order of 3 October 1946. The listing names only those parts.

The metro is not on the doorstep. Odéon (lines 4 and 10) takes five minutes, Mabillon (line 10) seven, Cluny–La Sorbonne (line 10) eight, and Luxembourg station on the RER B eight. Atout France classified the hotel three stars on 11 April 2023, for 42 rooms. The hotel is independent: no chain or group appears on its page.

Rooms and services

According to the hotel, all 42 rooms were renovated in 2023 and take from one to four guests. The rooms for three or four are the family offer: a Superior Triple, a Family Room of 24 m² for four, and a Family Suite of 28 m² made of two separate connected rooms. All rooms are air-conditioned, and small pets are accepted under conditions. Breakfast is a buffet from 7 to 10.30, and can be taken in the room. There is no restaurant and no bar. Only some rooms look onto the square and the theatre, or onto rue de Condé, and the hotel does not say which. It writes that it is accessible to guests with reduced mobility but describes no adapted room. Parking is not mentioned.

Against the neighbours

The Odéon Hôtel, 35 rooms, also three stars, is two minutes from the metro and has a listed façade of its own. The Delavigne, 34 rooms, is a three-star on rue Casimir-Delavigne, about 150 m on foot. The Relais Saint-Germain is a four-star of 22 rooms at the carrefour de l’Odéon, about 300 m on foot. Michelet Odéon is the largest of the four.
