Rue Monsieur-le-Prince, near the crossroads

The Hôtel Villa des Princes is at 19 rue Monsieur-le-Prince, in the 6th arrondissement, on the northern stretch of the street near the Odéon crossroads. Our data places it on the fringe of the 6th. Odéon (lines 4 and 10) is about 150 m away, two minutes on foot; Saint-Michel Notre-Dame (RER B and RER C; line 4 is closed there until 19 December 2026) and Cluny–La Sorbonne (line 10) are six.

Atout France classified it two stars on 18 December 2023, for 11 rooms. No chain or group is shown on its site. The hotel describes a cut-stone building put up under Louis XIII, in the 17th century. No heritage record confirms it, so the date stays the hotel’s claim.

Rooms and services

The house is small and its offer is short. All eleven rooms are for one or two people; there is no triple or family room. The hotel says the whole house is air-conditioned and has a lift, and it states that it has no room for guests with reduced mobility. Breakfast is continental, from the pastry house Gérard Mulot, and is served in a room with a vaulted ceiling. Nothing is said of a bar, a restaurant, a car park or pets. We list services as the hotel’s site states them; it is worth confirming any you rely on directly with the hotel.

Against the neighbours

Two other hotels stand on the same street. The Saint-Paul Rive Gauche, at number 43, is a four-star of 31 rooms; the Le Clos Médicis, at number 56, a three-star of 38. In the same category, the Grand Hôtel des Balcons has 49 rooms, and the Saint-Pierre 43. At eleven rooms, the Villa des Princes is the smallest of the hotels named here.
