A two-star on rue Le Goff

The Hôtel du Brésil stands at no. 10 rue Le Goff, a street of the 5th arrondissement about 100 metres from rue Soufflot and the same distance from the Luxembourg garden. Atout France, which issues France’s official hotel ratings, classified it two-star on 22 October 2025, for 29 rooms; the hotel does not display its stars online. It is independent.

The hotel itself mentions cinema: it says the nearby streets appear in Midnight in Paris and Amélie.

Rooms and services

For families, the quadruple on the top floor combines a double and two single beds. The hotel mentions double glazing but no air conditioning. A lift serves the floors, reception is open 24 hours, phone calls to landlines and mobiles are free, and guests can borrow books and travel guides.

Breakfast is served in a dedicated room from 7 to 10.30 a.m.; there is no bar or restaurant. The site says nothing about accessibility or pets, and its Services page is blank. Drivers can use the Vinci Soufflot-Panthéon car park, which the hotel places about 50 metres away.

Rue Soufflot and the Luxembourg

On our walking estimates, rue Soufflot is two minutes away, the Sorbonne four, and the Panthéon, the Palais du Luxembourg and the Luxembourg garden about six. Luxembourg station, on the RER B, is the only station within five minutes; the hotel says 50 metres, our walking estimate is about 200.

Within a minute’s walk, the three-star Hôtel Elysa has 32 air-conditioned rooms, one adapted for reduced mobility and a family room for five. Just as close, the Hôtel Madeleine de Senlis is a three-star with an indoor pool. In the same two-star category, the closest alternatives are eight minutes away: the Hôtel Saint-Pierre, air-conditioned, on rue de l’École-de-Médecine, and the Grand Hôtel des Balcons on rue Casimir-Delavigne.
