Rue Malebranche, just off rue Soufflot

The hotel occupies nos. 7–9 rue Malebranche, just south of rue Soufflot, in the 5th arrondissement between the Panthéon and the Luxembourg garden. Atout France, which keeps the official register of French hotel classifications, rated it three-star on 12 November 2024, for 30 rooms. It belongs to the Elegancia group.

A salon décor, a pool and a patio

According to the hotel, the décor stages the home of a 19th-century salon hostess, Madeleine de Senlis. It lists 115 pastel portraits from the 18th and 19th centuries, antique furniture, toile de Jouy, and the “Monuments de Paris” panoramic wallpaper first printed by the Manufacture Dufour in 1812, reproduced from a digital restoration by Le Grand Siècle.

Downstairs, a pool styled as Roman baths is heated to 32 °C under four stone vaults. Guests use it free of charge, privately by the hour from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. or freely from 6 to 8 p.m.; the hotel’s FAQ also mentions treatments, including for couples, by appointment. At ground level, a 50 m² planted patio sits beneath a flowered gallery. All rooms are air-conditioned. The Suite sleeps two to four; triples complete the offer.

There is no bar — only a water fountain and a coffee machine — and no car park. Pets are refused. No room is adapted for reduced mobility, although some are fitted for blind or partially sighted guests. A “Romantic” package adds champagne, rose petals and private time in the pool.
