The chapel of the Sorbonne, a short walk from boulevard Saint-Michel; it shows the area, not the hotel

A boulevard address on the Sorbonne side

Hotel Le Lapin Blanc stands at 41 boulevard Saint-Michel, in the 5th arrondissement, at the level of the Sorbonne. Atout France, the state body that awards French hotel stars, classified it four stars on 5 February 2026, for 30 rooms. The stations are close, with Cluny-La Sorbonne on line 10 four minutes away, Odéon (lines 4 and 10) five and Saint-Michel Notre-Dame (RER B and C; line 4 is closed there until 19 December 2026) six.

The hotel carries no chain name and presents itself as a boutique hotel. The theme is Alice’s White Rabbit: Quantic Studio and Anaïs Albar designed a decor of white rooms with colour accents in a 1950s manner, and the hotel advertises a “fairy-tale” effect. That is the hotel’s own description of a themed interior, not of a restored building.

Rooms and what is missing

Air conditioning is in every room, according to the hotel. For families, communicating rooms of 39 m² take up to five people, and a Triple Deluxe is listed. At the top, the Suite looks over the roofs towards Notre-Dame and the Sacré-Cœur, according to the hotel, and has a round bath in the room. Only that suite is described this way, so do not assume a view from the other rooms.

There is no restaurant and no bar. On 4 October 2026 the breakfast room was closed during works in the shared areas, with breakfast brought to the room; the works carry no end date on the site. Three rooms are called adapted for reduced mobility, but the hotel states plainly that it is not accessible to wheelchair users. Nothing is said about pets or parking. The front desk, though, is staffed all night.

Against the neighbours

On the same stretch, the Select Hôtel Rive Gauche is also a four-star but with 65 rooms, more than twice the size of the Lapin Blanc, on place de la Sorbonne. The Grand Hôtel Saint-Michel, four stars with 47 rooms on rue Cujas, lists a spa among its facilities, which the Lapin Blanc does not have. The Lapin Blanc is the smallest of the three; our guide to the hotels around the Panthéon lines up the full set, and the Sorbonne guide covers the walk from the front door.
