A two-star south of Mouffetard

The Hôtel Sunny is at 48 boulevard de Port-Royal, in the 5th arrondissement, about 400 metres from the church of Saint-Médard. Les Gobelins and Censier-Daubenton, both on line 7, are each seven minutes’ walk, which is long for this quarter: the median nearest-station walk across the 110 hotels in our data is three minutes. Atout France, the state body that issues French hotel stars, classified it two stars on 2 March 2022, for 36 rooms. Our page on rue Mouffetard covers the street to the north.

The hotel describes itself as a family two-star between the Luxembourg, Les Gobelins and rue Mouffetard, near the Cochin and Val-de-Grâce hospitals.

Rooms and services

The 36 rooms are soundproofed, on the boulevard or the courtyard side, and all have a bathroom, with a bath or a shower. Triple rooms combine a 140 cm bed and a 120 cm one. A baby cot is available up to three years. The hotel advertises a large room “recently installed” for guests with disabilities, but gives no layout.

Reception is open round the clock, with a night watchman. Breakfast is continental, in the dining room or in the room. Air conditioning, pets and a bar are not mentioned. The hotel has no car park of its own; a public one is cited five minutes away.
