The lower end of rue Monge
The Hôtel de France Quartier Latin stands at 108 rue Monge, in the 5th arrondissement. We file it with the Mouffetard hotels, but it is a borderline address, at the foot of rue Mouffetard near Saint-Médard. The church of Saint-Médard is under 100 metres away, and the Roman amphitheatre of the Arènes de Lutèce about 650 metres up the street.
On transport the picture is simple. Censier-Daubenton, on line 7, is two minutes away on foot, Place Monge six and Les Gobelins seven, all on the same line; none of the stations in our data serves another line.
Classification, rooms and what is missing
Atout France, the state body that awards French hotel stars, classified the hotel three stars on 21 March 2024, for 30 rooms; the hotel’s own site gives neither the stars nor a room count, so these figures come from the register. It is independent and shows no chain. The hotel describes modern rooms with a large mirror above the headboard and large windows, and air conditioning runs through every category. The Superior Triple takes up to three people, for families or friends, and there is nothing for four.
The breakfast room is lit by a skylight. There is no restaurant and no bar, although soft drinks and beers are sold. Hôtel de France Quartier Latin states that it is not accessible to guests with reduced mobility and that pets are not allowed. Parking is in paying public car parks nearby, none attached to the hotel.
Next to its neighbours
Close by, the Hôtel Maxim Quartier Latin has 33 rooms on rue Censier, about 130 metres away. The Hôtel Saint-Christophe, 31 rooms on rue Lacépède, is about 480 metres away. Higher up rue Monge, the Hôtel des Nations Saint-Germain has 36 rooms, and the four-star Hôtel Monge 30. The Best Western Quartier Latin Panthéon has a room for reduced mobility and a guest hammam. Our list of hotels around rue Mouffetard sets them side by side, and the rue Mouffetard guide covers the walk.

What does an Hôtel de France Quartier Latin review come down to?
This page carries no rating and no guest comment. Weighing the checked facts, the air conditioning, the line 7 station at the door and the skylit breakfast room count for it; the lack of access for reduced mobility and the absence of a bar or restaurant count against it.
